What goes around comes around. No, not the Justin Timberlake throwback, I'm talking fashion trends. One of the best things about watching our favorite music videos from the 90s and early 2000s is to see how drastically the trends have evolved since what feels like was just a minute ago. While we may not be able wear what they had on piece for piece, the inspiration is definitely still there. Here are 3 Men and 3 Women spring looks, all inspired by some of your favorite throwback videos.
J. Lo ft. Ja Rule - I’m Real
Okay, everyone can calm down. I’m notbout to tell you that Juicy Couture sweatsuits are back in style. But I am going to tell you that I think both J. Lo and Juicy Couture were on to something with the monochromatic match sets. Channel your inner (and more modern) Jenny from the block in this pink co-ord from BooHoo.com.
AQUAZZURA shoes | SERPUI MARIE clutch | KENDRA SCOTT necklace
Aaliyah - Rock Tha Boat
On the contrary, we’ve always known Aaliyah was up to something. Her edgy tomboy look can even be seen today in artist such as Kehlani, Tinashe and KeKe Palmer. Get her Rock Tha Boat look with these DIY denim pants from Etsy.com & Baja East crop top.

Missy Elliot - The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)
Personally, this gif just gives me life. I am here for everything about Lil Kim’s cameo in this video. As much as I love her in lingerie & a full length fur like the ‘Crush on You’ video, I love classy Kim. Pull this off with a cropped white collar top from With Chic and red skinny leg denim pants.
M. GEMI heels | CHANEL bag | KENDRA SCOTT rings | LE SPECS sunglasses
B2K - Uh Huh
Trust me (….and Lil’ Fizz) on this one. This army green and silver combination is timeless. Turn this throwback look into something effortless with this green River Island polo, white denim & silver Emporio Armani watch.

Chop up the soul Kanye, set on his goals Kanye.”
Bring back the old Kanye from his Gold Digger video with this easy Banana Republic white button down paired with a Ferragamo belt.

Ending with a classic. Leave it to Snoop Dogg & 50 Cent to give you simple black and white vibes. Make it modern with this Stussy Tee paired with a light weight Public School bomber jacket and Maison Margiela shorts.

So it's no big secret about how in love I am with Zendaya's outfits, seeing as I have posted two blogs about her already lol (one | two). Although now it seems as I am beginning to fall even more in love with her stylist, Luxury Law. Not only does he style some of my FAVORITES, (anyone who knows me knows I love Zendaya & LaLa)
but he definitely is inspiring to a young fashionista like myself. Luxury Law is able to consistently put 17 y/o Zendaya in these couture pieces and make them look young and chic, which I think is perfect. It never looks as if his clients were styled, but seems as if each client picked these outfits straight from their closet. The looks are always so personal and fitting and I think that is very important when it comes to styling celebrities. I believe his passion speaks through his craft and that is what I think sets him apart in this industry. I can't see anything but more success in his future.
To Law, thanks for being such an inspiration.
